About Me, The Nurse in Red
I am a nursing transplant.
I went to college and graduated with a Bachelors degree in another field. I have experience on the other side. However; I could never and would never go back. Once a nurse, always a nurse. It’s like being part of an amazing sorority or club. Even on the worst days, I love being a nurse. I love knowing there are so many other people out there who have experienced what I am experiencing and can guide me through or empathize with difficult experiences.
Nursing is a calling.
Once you hear it, you can’t ignore it. Since I realized what I was meant to do, I cannot imagine doing anything else. And there is so much you can do! You can change your career path infinitely within the field of nursing and every day is different. You are constantly learning and there are endless possibilities to reinvent yourself.
The new chapter.
I enrolled in an online program to pursue my MSN. I started a new job, in a new field of nursing. There is so much to learn. And at the same time, I’m starting this blog. I have no idea how this works, but maybe like nursing, if you don’t know, just YouTube it. I’m excited for this new chapter, as The Nurse in Red.
